Here’s a timely story for me… I just got back from Texas and I did a lot of driving. A recent study shows that with higher limits, speeding goes down and Texas is considering raising the speed limit on two major highways to match how most motorists drive. “If people begin to think that the number on the sign is unreasonable, then they won’t respect it. Just putting up a lower number on the highway isn’t going to slow down traffic.”
